Francina Grazette founded Necesse Naturals in 2014. While her father was being treated for kidney disease, Francina and her father discovered that his medications caused him to suffer from dry, painful skin. Francina began looking for skincare solutions that would help him. Francina developed her own skincare regimen for her father: using a carefully blended mixture of natural and organic ingredients, she relieved his pain and revitalized his skin.
Q: Tell us about your business.
While my father was being treated for kidney disease, we discovered that his medications caused him to suffer from dry, painful skin. I began looking for skincare solutions that would help him. Necesse Naturals was formed with a focus on helping people live healthier lives. We have been building a strong community through sharing information on the benefits of natural organic ingredients in personal care products. We help people transition to sustainably healing, beautifying and protecting their skin .
Q: What motivates you?
Knowing that I am helping people and sharing information. There is nothing more rewarding than being on the radio every week and sharing valuable information about alternative options to treat various chronic diseases.
Q: When did you decided to become an Entrepreneur?
Once I recognized that my products worked on my father who suffered from kidney disease, it was something I felt the urge to share. As I continue to learn more about health and wellness and the benefits of natural products and essential oils, I believe it is only necessary that I share.
Q: What does success mean to you?
The ability to share what I learn and knowing the information is making a difference in at least one person’s life.
Q: What’s the best piece of business advice you have been given?
Consistent effort over time and continue to push through every challenge.
Q: What’s an interesting fact about your business most people don’t know?
It took me over 2 years to come up with a formula that I liked for my first product and over a year to find a laboratory that aligned with my values and that was USDA certified organic.
Q: What advice do you for new business owners?
Business cannot grow doing it on your own. You need to network and collaborate with like-minded individuals. As you continue to build relationships with every person you connect with, people will buy your products and/or use your services because they like YOU.
Q: Why did you join our Chamber?
When I was reviewing the website to make my decision, this spoke to me: “We are committed to connecting and bridging the economic gap and increasing trade within the Black Business diaspora and between mainstream local and international markets for a more thriving and inclusive interconnected Canadian economy.” And when the Chamber followed through consistently for the past few months on this statement, I knew I made the right decision.
